이 책은 호텔과 레스토랑에서 목적과 상황에 어울리는 영어를 구사할 수 있도록 초ㆍ중급자들을 위한 교재이다. 이 책은 각기 다른 상황에 맞게 짜여진 구문연습 등 실제 상황에서 쓸 수 있는 유용한 정보를 수록하고 있다. 실제 상황에서 사용될 표현들이 각 장마다 수록되어 기본적인 대화 능력과 호텔과 레스토랑에서 각기 적합한 표현들을 익힐 수 있도록 한다.
